The FC Frederick Classic Program is targeted at recreational players interested in a fun and challenging soccer environment that involves less travel, time commitment, and cost than other FC Frederick Programs.

The Classic Director oversees all aspects of the Classic Program, and works with the Director of Coaching to develop and implement curricular goals for all players and coaches. FC Frederick's current Classic Director, Chris Spinks, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the program.

Every player that registers for the Classic Program will be placed on a team. For the more advanced u10-u14 player, tryouts are held each June for teams playing at the Frederick County Youth Soccer League (FCYSL) Division 1 level. For the more advanced High School player, tryouts are held in November for spring-only teams playing in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) and the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).

  • Coaching: FCF Staff Coach; oversight Classic Director
  • Teams: Tryouts held in November; teams formed based on interest level; seasonal commitment (Spring only)
  • Training: twice per week at FC Frederick area fields
  • League: WAGS, NCSL or other appropriate 11v11 league based on team level
  • Tournaments: 2 per season (tournaments or playdays)
  • Other: developmentally appropriate curriculum; access to all FCF club services (soccer schools, camps and club picnic)
  • Cost: $450 per season (uniform included)
