Players from the FC Frederick Academy Program are known around the state for their 1v1 ability and creativity on the ball. Asked about the Academy Program, Al Albert, former NSCAA President and former head coach of the College of William & Mary Men's NCAA Division 1 Soccer Program had this to say:

"From what I have seen in my travels and experiences, FC Frederick has one of the finest youth development programs of any youth soccer club in the United States. The emphasis on skill and creativity is very important for the development of high quality soccer players."
