FCPS High School All-Star Soccer Game is November 20th! Sponsors Needed!
Frederick County high school senior soccer standouts will get a chance to showcase their skills late this fall with the newly created FCPS Senior All-Star Games.
The games are scheduled for Nov. 20 at Tuscarora High School with the boys game kicking off at 5 p.m. and the girls game following at 7 p.m.
The teams will be composed of FCPS seniors who make first- or second-team all-conference honorees, and honorable mentions, as needed.
“We’re excited to offer this as it gives our seniors one more opportunity to showcase their skills and play against some of the top talent in the county,” said Kevin Conley, who is one of the primary organizers of the event along with Todd Knepper and Howard Putterman.
"High school sports have always been important to Frederick County families, and this all-star soccer game for seniors will allow us to celebrate kids from around the county who have worked hard to become great players and leaders at their schools,” said Bo Eskay, executive director of FC Frederick, which is co-hosting the event.
Admission to the match is $5. Plans are in the works to live-stream the matches, as well.
The games are co-sponsored by FC Frederick and the Frederick County Soccer Hall of Fame.
NOTE: Sponsor contributions are needed to help cover the substantial costs of hosting this exciting new event! See attached flyer for details!
