2026-27 Frederick Futsal League (Winter)

Futsal is the FIFA recognized form of small-sided indoor soccer (the word is a contraction of the Spanish 'fútbol sala'). It is played between two teams who each have five players on the court at any one time, with rolling substitutes and a smaller ball that is heavier and less bouncy than a traditional soccer ball (see What is futsal?). Read about former FC Frederick and current US National Futsal team member William Eskay:

FFL Team Training at Frederick Training Center The FFL is a games-only league, and parents often ask whether their team can train too. This winter, through an exclusive partnership with Frederick Training Center (FTC), FFL teams can reserve winter training sessions to complement league play.

Teams can choose one of two formats:
  • FTC Staff-Led: FTC's experienced coaching staff plans and runs each session. Options include technical work focused on the quick touches and fast decisions futsal demands, or FTC's signature Fusion Training, which combines soccer skill work with FABSS conditioning (Fitness, Agility, Balance, Strength & Speed).
  • FTC-Guided: FTC staff work with your team's coaches to build a training approach tailored to your team. Your coaches stay involved, and FTC adds its expertise and facility.

Training Cost: $200/player for 7 sessions (55 minutes each). One session per week during the league season. Begins the week of January 4.
Location: Frederick Training Center, 10082 Tyler Ct., Ijamsville, MD

Space is VERY limited, and sessions are first-come, first-serve. Team coaches and organizers who are interested should contact FTC as soon as possible at contact@fredericktrainingcenter.com or (301) 478-4144 to reserve a training slot.
