About Our Seniors Program

The FC Frederick Seniors Program is targeted at highly committed high school age players interested in experiencing the game at the highest level available to them. Whether making a High School Varsity team, playing collegiately at the Division 1, 2, or 3 level, or embarking on a professional career, the Seniors Program is designed to help players achieve their goals.

The Senior Boys and Girls Directors oversee all aspects of the boys and girls Senior Programs. The Directors work closely with the Director of Coaching and Staff Coaches to develop and implement program goals. FC Frederick's Senior Boys Director, Chris Spinks, and Senior Girls Director, Chuck Hommey, bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the program. Annual Evaluations take place each May for the coming year, but PLAYERS CAN ALSO JOIN THE CLUB AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.

In addition, for players looking for a seasonal commitment, tryouts are held in December/January for High School Spring (HSS) teams playing in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). Players are placed on teams based on the year they were born. For labeling purposes, 16U (for example) means that players in that age group can be 16 years old and younger.

The 2024-25 age groups are:

2009 = 16U
2008 = 17U
2007 = 18U
2006 = 19U

16U-19U PROGRAM:

Coaching:
FCF Staff Coach; oversight by Seniors Director

Commitment:
Yearly. Players are placed on teams following Evaluations in May; can join program at other times.

Training:
Sundays during fall; 2-3 times per week during winter & spring; additional training at coach's discretion

Leagues:
USYS National League, NCSL or other 11v11 leagues based on team level

Events:
Showcases/Tournaments (Fall/Spring), State Cup or President's Cup, Friendlies, and Playdates

Uniform:
Additional cost, purchased through soccer.com

Other:
College Recruiting seminars and counseling, Trace Video platform, winter training, Strength/Speed/Agility training at Sarge Athletics, access to all club services (soccer schools, camps, etc.) are all included in fees.

High School Spring (HSS) Program:

Coaching:   FC Frederick Staff Coach

Commitment:   Seasonal (Spring)

Training:   Twice per week at Frederick area fields

Games:   NCSL or other appropriate 11v11 league based on team level

Tournaments:   2 per season

Tryouts:   December & January each year

16U Age Group: $2,295 plus Uniform Kit

17U Age Group: $2,295 plus Uniform Kit

18U Age Group: $2,295 plus Uniform Kit

19U Age Group: $2,295 plus Uniform Kit
