FC Frederick's Academy Program has been called "one of the finest youth development programs of any youth soccer club in the United States." Modeled after the ideals set forth in the USSF National Youth License, players participate in "developmentally appropriate" training activities that are both challenging and fun.
The Academy II program enhances and refines the technical skills and 1v1 ability developed in the Academy I program, while introducing players to the small-sided game environment. FCF's Academy II Directors oversee all program aspects, and work with the Director of Coaching and Staff Coaches to develop and implement program goals. FC Frederick's Academy II Boys Director, Scott Mohler, and Academy II Girls Director, Bo Eskay bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Academy II program. Annual Evaluations take place each May for the coming year, but PLAYERS CAN ALSO JOIN THE CLUB AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.
Players participate in age group programs based on the year they were born. For labeling purposes, "12U" (for example) means that players in that age group can be 12 years old and younger. The 2024-25 age groups are:
2015 = 10U
2014 = 11U
2013 = 12U

FC Frederick offers annual membership (beginning July 1) to players selected to join the club, with fees assessed based upon the players' age group. FC Frederick's fees are "all inclusive," generally covering all participation costs except uniforms and player international-travel. FC Frederick also assesses a $100 "field fee" to help pay for rental fees (turf and grass), mowing and seasonal maintenance (core aeration, overseeing, fertilization), and contributions to a facility fund.
