About Our Academy II Program

Our academy ii program (10U-12U)

FC Frederick's Academy Program has been called "one of the finest youth development programs of any youth soccer club in the United States." Modeled after the ideals set forth in the USSF National Youth License, players participate in "developmentally appropriate" training activities that are both challenging and fun.

The Academy II program enhances and refines the technical skills and 1v1 ability developed in the Academy I program, while introducing players to the small-sided game environment. FCF's Academy II Directors oversee all program aspects, and work with the Director of Coaching and Staff Coaches to develop and implement program goals. FC Frederick's Academy II Boys Director, Scott Mohler, Academy II Girls Director, Bo Eskay bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Academy II program.

Annual Evaluations take place each May for the coming year, but PLAYERS CAN ALSO JOIN THE CLUB AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR. Please contact Scott Mohler (Boys) or Bo Eskay (girls) for more information. Players participate in age group programs based on the year they were born. Program Fees vary by age group. For labeling purposes, "12U" (for example) means that players in that age group can be 12 years old and younger.  All age groups in this program use a size 4 ball.  The 2023-24 age groups are:

2014 = 10U
2013 = 11U
2012 = 12U
